Custom Carved And Routed Signs

How does your sign convey your brand to potential customers? In business, image is everything. Consider a sandblasted sign for a more elegant and durable solution for your home or business. Whether you are looking for a residential entrance sign, business park tenant sign, lobby display, development directional sign, church reader board or golf course signage, let us help you exceed expectations and leave a lasting impression.

A typical vinyl sticker style sign has an exterior life expectancy of less than five years whereas a sandblasted sign look new much longer and will hold up for decades.

Popular Signage Substrates-

There are typically two types of materials used for sandblasted signs.

In the past, Cedar was the go-to material because of its resistance to bug infestation and rot. Cedar looks great when sandblasted and the resulting signs can last many years. However, as a natural product, regardless of how much care is used in the fabrication of a cedar sign, it is subject to eventual breakdown and decay. Cedar has also become more difficult to obtain in recent years.

HDU or High Density Urethane has quickly become the most popular choice of substrate for sandblasted signs, and it’s the material we recommend for the majority of our signs. Among its benefits, HDU is impervious to insects and rot and it’s unaffected by temperature changes. The material is stable, carves easily, looks just like wood when painted and unlike cedar, is readily available.
